Coupling polyethylene conduits or ducts by hand is a time consuming process that can cause wrist fatigue and inconsistencies in the quality of each duct joint completed. To reduce installation time, increase the level of quality, and provide greater consistency, hydraulic coupling presses are used. With duct counts per route increasing, presses are preferred by a growing number of installation contractors.
This state-of-the-art machine simplifies the installation of press-on and straight-threaded couplings. The compact design allows it to fit into tighter spaces such as those found in trenches and handholes.
The press quickly adapts to different duct sizes with sets of removable aluminum duct clamping dies. The dies, which are color-coded with anodized aluminum couplers, allow for use with all standard international and SDR duct sizes used in the placement of fiber optic cable. Die sets are available for all TUFF-Link couplers.
